Additionally, during this meeting, appointment certificates were awarded to officers whose appointments had been delayed, and branch flags were presented. While presenting the flags, Byun Sang-beom, Head of the Gyeongbuk Headquarters of KRARCC, urged, “Please strive to protect citizens' rights in the region and promote the desirable activation of grassroots local autonomy.”
Furthermore, several agenda items were submitted and passed through democratic procedures, including ▲principles for financial and expense expenditures, and ▲holding future branch rotation meetings.
Byun Sang-beom, Head of the Gyeongbuk Headquarters of KRARCC, stated, “Given the current chaotic state of our country and the fact that representative democracy is trapped and unable to function properly, it goes without saying that our role at the Gyeongbuk Headquarters of KRARCC is to ensure that citizens' rights are protected and respected, that rights are not abused, and to monitor whether locally elected officials fulfill their roles as true public servants in realizing grassroots democracy and the full completion of local autonomy.”
“In addition, our Gyeongbuk Headquarters of KRARCC must also continuously hold ‘public hearings’ and roundtable meetings with local governments to ensure that residents fully enjoy their rights without being unaware of inconveniences or rights in their daily lives. Through ongoing dialogue and communication with residents, we aim to restore ‘tangible rights’ to the people,” explained the role of the Gyeongbuk Headquarters of KRARCC.
