Pyeongtaek City Supports Cleaning Costs up to 700,000 KRW for Restaurants Designated with Hygiene Grade
Support for 20 Establishments Designated Over One Year Ago
On the 20th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will support cleaning costs of up to 700,000 KRW for designated establishments to increase the re-designation rate of the 'Restaurant Hygiene Rating System.'
'Designated establishments under the Restaurant Hygiene Rating System' refer to restaurants that have been evaluated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in hygiene-related fields and received ratings such as ▲Excellent ▲Good ▲Fair.
The cleaning cost support targets 20 establishments whose final hygiene rating designation date is more than one year from the business application date, and the program will continue until the budget is exhausted. The support covers cleaning costs for contaminated kitchen facilities such as ducts, hoods, and ventilators, as well as floors and walls in kitchens, dining areas, and guest rooms.
Business owners wishing to participate in the program can apply by submitting an application form and required documents in person at the Food Policy Division of City Hall or by mail. Detailed information can be found in the announcement section on the Pyeongtaek City Hall website.
