Blue Canyon Ladies Championship Opens in March
Domestic Season Starts with Doosan We’ve Championship in April
The 2025 season of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) regular tour will be held on a scale similar to last year.
On the 20th, KLPGA announced that this year’s 30 tournaments will feature a total prize money of 32.5 billion KRW, with an average prize of 1.08 billion KRW. Last year, there were 31 tournaments with a total prize money of 33.2 billion KRW. Although the number of overseas tournaments decreased by one, the number of domestic tournaments remained at 29. The number of tournaments with prize money over 1 billion KRW increased from 21 last season to 26 (about 87% of all tournaments). The average prize money rose by 10 million KRW compared to last year’s 1.07 billion KRW.
There are three newly established tournaments: the iM Financial Open, Deokshin EPC Championship, and Aurora World Championship will make their debut. Five tournaments increased their prize money: Blue Canyon Ladies Championship, NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship, McCol-Mona Yongpyong Open, Doosan Match Play, and S-OIL Championship. Lee Young-mi, CEO of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT), said, "I am grateful to everyone who decided to hold tournaments for the development of women’s golf despite difficult times."

This year’s KLPGA regular tour will begin in March with the Blue Canyon Ladies Championship in Thailand. After a short two-week break, the domestic opening event, the Doosan Construction We’ve Championship, will follow. KLPGT will soon announce the schedules for the Dream (2nd division), Jump (3rd division), and Champions (senior) tours. The Dream Tour will hold a total of 22 tournaments, including two overseas events for the first time in its history.
