Daejeon City announced that it has reached a final agreement with the Hanwha Eagles to name the new baseball stadium, scheduled to open soon, as "Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark."
On the afternoon of the 20th at Daejeon City Hall, Daejeon Mayor Lee Jangwoo met with Park Jongtae, CEO of Hanwha Eagles Co., Ltd., and said, "We are pleased that Hanwha Group made a prompt decision regarding the demands of Daejeon citizens," adding, "Daejeon City will actively cooperate and support the Hanwha Eagles to ensure that there are no setbacks in the upcoming schedules such as completion, opening, and the opening game."
Park Jongtae, CEO of Hanwha Eagles Co., Ltd., said, "As a local professional baseball team together with our fans, we will actively cooperate with Daejeon City and reward everyone with excellent results in the 2025 season."
