Police: "Not placing Yoon on the photo line was the decision of the Corruption Investigation Office"
The police stated on the 20th that the decision not to place President Yoon Seok-yeol on the photo line set up at the courthouse entrance was made by the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Division (Gong-su-cheo).
A representative from the Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Headquarters told reporters on the same day, "This is something I cannot answer," adding, "The entity executing the warrant is Gong-su-cheo. We have not received a clear explanation regarding that situation."
When asked why President Yoon used a security vehicle instead of a transport vehicle, the police responded, "We do not know." Regarding whether investigators were on board the vehicle, they stated, "We understand that Gong-su-cheo investigators were on board together."

In response to the question, "Was the decision not to execute the arrest warrants against Kim Seong-hoon, Chief of Security, and Lee Kwang-woo, Head of the Security Headquarters, at the time of President Yoon's arrest made by Gong-su-cheo?" the Special Investigation Unit said, "There was a strong request from the President's side, and we understand that discussions and decisions were made within that context."
