The National Busan Science Museum (Director Song Sam-jong) announced on the 17th that it held an opening ceremony at 1 p.m. on the 16th to commemorate the renovation of Saessak Nuri Hall and will begin full operation starting from the 18th.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 70 guests, including Song Sam-jong, Director of the National Busan Science Museum; Han Hyeong-ju, Director of the National Gwacheon Science Museum; Lee Jeong-gu, Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum; Lee Nan-hee, Director of the National Daegu Science Museum; Lee Soo-tae, Chairman of the National Busan Science Museum Supporters Association (Chairman of Panasia); Seo Jin-won, Director of the Nakdonggang Estuary Eco Center; and children from daycare centers in Gijang-gun.
The event proceeded with a report on the renovation progress of Saessak Nuri Hall, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a special guided tour of the exhibition hall. Children enjoyed face painting themed around space and freely explored the newly designed exhibition space while wearing spacesuits.
Saessak Nuri Hall is an interactive exhibition hall designed for children under six years old. After 10 years since its opening, it has been transformed into a science experience space themed around "space exploration," following the journey of Earth, the Moon, and Mars.
