Gapyeong-gun "Upgrade Aging Water Pipes for Clean Water"
Up to 1.8 Million KRW Support for the
"Rust-Free Home Water Pipe Improvement Project"
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 16th that it will invest approximately 68 million KRW to carry out the "Rust-Free Home Water Pipe Improvement Project" by the end of this year.
This project aims to solve the rust water problem occurring in old houses and provide clean and healthy tap water to residents. The support targets are communal and detached houses that are over 20 years old and have an area of 130㎡ or less.
The support items include △ indoor water supply pipe replacement costs (up to 1.8 million KRW) and △ shared pipe replacement costs (up to 600,000 KRW). For houses owned by basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups, the entire construction cost will be covered. However, houses that have received support for improvements within the last five years or houses approved for redevelopment or reconstruction are excluded from support.
Applications for the project are accepted until December of this year, but the application period may close early if the budget is exhausted. Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Gapyeong-gun Office website and visiting the Waterworks Office in person.
