The Settlement Support Project for Foreign Residents has been supported by Jeollanam-do by region since 2014, in accordance with the 'Jeollanam-do Ordinance on Support for Foreign Residents'.
This year, in particular, the project will be divided by category to support a variety of programs such as capacity-building education including Korean language and IT classes, mobile counseling centers, cultural and sports events, and community operation support, reflecting the diverse needs of foreign residents.
Eligible organizations must be non-profit corporations or non-profit private organizations located in Jeollanam-do, equipped to meet the various needs of foreign residents in the region.
Applications can be submitted by February 5 by referring to the announcement on the Jeollanam-do website, completing the application form, and sending it via email or mail.
Jeollanam-do will conduct a comprehensive review based on accessibility, project performance, and the status of facilities such as classrooms and counseling rooms, then finalize the implementing organizations, announce them on the provincial website around March, and notify each organization individually.
Selected organizations will receive 20 million won per location in project funding and will operate various programs to support the settlement of foreign residents for 10 months from March to December.
