Seong Rae-eun, Vice Chairman of Youngone Group, Participates in 'Population Issue Awareness Improvement Campaign'
Policies Established to Foster a Family-Friendly Corporate Culture
Seong Rae-eun, Vice Chairman of Youngone Trading Group, announced on the 16th that she participated in the 'Population Issue Awareness Improvement Relay Campaign.'
This campaign was jointly planned by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare to raise awareness of population structure changes due to low birth rates and aging, and the importance of solving population issues. Vice Chairman Seong joined the campaign upon the nomination of Yoon Sang-hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Holdings.
Youngone Trading Group has a female employee ratio of 70%, and the proportion of female executives reaches 50%. Reflecting the high proportion of female employees, since last year, the company has operated parental leave and reduced working hours during childcare periods, and established an internal culture that supports female employees during pregnancy and childbirth by providing an annual transportation allowance (taxi) of 1 million KRW to pregnant workers.
Since January this year, under the leadership of Vice Chairman Seong Rae-eun, the company has been providing a childcare allowance of 200,000 KRW per month to employees raising children under the age of six. For employees who are parents of children in second grade or below in elementary school, regardless of gender, a flexible working hours system has been implemented to allow them to apply for and use staggered working hours. The company is actively working to foster a family-friendly corporate culture.
Vice Chairman Seong Rae-eun stated, "I believe that creating an environment where employees can lead healthy and stable lives both at work and at home is the most fundamental childbirth encouragement policy," and added, "Such continuous efforts by Youngone Trading Group can contribute to solving population issues."
