Buyeo County, Sabi Village Relocation Complex First Half Sale
Development of 47 Residential Lots Covering 26,127 Square Meters
and 5 Neighborhood Living Lots Planned
Buyeo County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 15th that it will be selling residential lots in the Sabimaeul Relocation Complex in the first half of this year.
Buyeo was the last capital of Baekje, where the glorious and beautiful Baekje culture flourished during the 123-year Sabi Baekje period, with relics such as the Baekje Gilt-bronze Incense Burner.
However, core heritage sites of the Baekje royal capital, such as the Sabi Palace site, can only be traced through the excavation of buried cultural assets. To address this, the county has been purchasing buildings and land since 2016 for the purpose of archaeological excavation.
Additionally, the county is creating the Sabimaeul Relocation Complex to provide housing for residents who previously lived in the area.
This project, which runs from 2011 to 2025 with a budget of 14.6 billion KRW, aims to develop 47 residential lots, 5 neighborhood living lots, and related infrastructure over an area of 26,127 square meters.
Last year, the county completed administrative procedures and foundational works such as civil engineering, landscaping, and electrical installations for the relocation complex.
After calculating the development costs, the lots will be offered to residents of the Sabi Palace site who have not yet received relocation settlement funds.
Park Junghyun, the county governor, said, "We will create opportunities such as resident briefings to listen as much as possible to the voices of our citizens, and do our best to provide stable housing for the relocated residents. As you have waited for a long time, we will make every effort to proceed with the lot sales as soon as possible."
