KOSPI Rises 1% Amid Foreign and Institutional 'Buying'
Semiconductor and Battery Sectors Show Strength
On the 15th, the KOSPI is rising more than 1% thanks to net purchases by foreigners and institutions. The semiconductor sector is notably strong, and the battery sector is also on the rise.
At 9:08 AM, the KOSPI is trading at 2523.06, up 1.03% (25.66 points) from the previous day. The KOSPI opened at 2511.07, up 0.55% (13.67 points) from the previous close.
Foreigners and institutions are net buying 72.5 billion KRW and 12.5 billion KRW respectively. Only individuals are net selling 84.2 billion KRW. In the futures market, individuals and foreigners are selling 22.6 billion KRW and 33.7 billion KRW respectively. Institutions alone are buying 15.1 billion KRW.
Among the top 10 stocks by market capitalization, only Kia is down by 0.37%. NAVER is up 2.48%, Samsung Biologics 1.66%, SK Hynix 1.64%, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries 1.62%, showing high gains.
At 9:11 AM, the KOSDAQ is at 721.64, up 0.50% (3.60 points) from the previous day. The KOSDAQ opened at 722.16, up 0.57% (4.12 points) from the previous close. Individuals and institutions are net buying 44.7 billion KRW and 7.6 billion KRW respectively. Only foreigners are net selling 51.7 billion KRW.
