Police Special Investigation Unit: "If Enforcement of Yoon's Arrest Warrant Is Obstructed, On-the-Spot Arrest and Dispersed Escort Will Be Conducted"
Low Possibility of Enlisted Soldiers Being Booked
The police announced on the 13th that if the Security Office obstructs the execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, they plan to arrest them on the spot as a current offender and then transport them separately.
A representative from the Special Investigation Team of the National Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Headquarters said to reporters that day, "This is basically a matter agreed upon with the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office," and added, "A plan for separate transportation has been established."
The police stated that "safety" is the top priority during the execution of the warrant. The Special Investigation Team representative said, "The first principle is safety," and emphasized that they urge the Security Office staff to cooperate with the execution of the warrant.
