Ahn Cheol-soo: "The Martial Law Support Party Will Make Lee Jae-myung President... Yoon Must Voluntarily Appear"
"To Prevent Bloodshed, Voluntary Appearance Is Needed"
"Democratic Party Obsessed Only with Seizing Power"
On the 12th, Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party, emphasized that "the more the pro-martial law party and pro-Yoon (pro-Yoon Suk-yeol) party become, the more it leads to making Lee Jae-myung president," and urged President Yoon Suk-yeol to voluntarily appear.
On the same day, Ahn stated through social media (SNS), "Just because the party approval rating has recently recovered, we should not immediately follow the totalitarian party behavior of Representative Lee Jae-myung. The rise in approval ratings is merely a reflexive benefit of the occupying army and Red Guards behavior of the major opposition party obsessed with seizing power," expressing his view.
He criticized, "The first step in managing state affairs is to properly establish the constitution and the rule of law," and added, "It is against the rule of law for the sitting president, who should protect the constitution and the rule of law, to refuse a lawfully issued warrant." He also expressed concern that "Moreover, the legitimacy of the unconstitutional declaration of martial law is being advocated, and some supporters are being rallied to confront public authority, raising the possibility of clashes and bloodshed."
Regarding the Democratic Party of Korea, he condemned, "I am appalled by the idea that it is acceptable for the country to be ruined just to make Lee Jae-myung president," and criticized, "I denounce the ruinous behavior of the super-major opposition party Lee Jae-myung Democratic Party, which seems to have become an occupying army or Red Guards solely obsessed with seizing power."
He continued, "The withdrawal of the charge of rebellion in the impeachment motion submitted to the Constitutional Court was solely due to impatience for power seizure and was condemned by the public," and argued, "The Constitutional Court should make a judgment based on the original motion passed by the National Assembly."

Ahn also stated, "The rejection of the re-vote on the special investigation law on rebellion in the National Assembly was due to the Democratic Party's stubborn arrogance, and although it is fortunate that the recommendation of a third-party special prosecutor was adopted, the addition of the charge of foreign exchange inducement is unacceptable," drawing a clear line by saying, "Whether there was an act of inducing a local war is not something to be added to the special investigation."
