Cheonggong: "Yoon's impeachment is a national disgrace... The 'messy' 22nd National Assembly must be dissolved"
"National Assembly Must Be Dissolved Through the People's Right to Resist"
"Entire Nation Gathers in the Wave Opposing Impeachment"
Cheon Gong (real name Lee Cheon Gong), a fortune teller who has been mentioned as President Yoon Seok-yeol's mentor since his presidential candidacy, argued that the 22nd National Assembly should be dissolved.
Cheon recently uploaded a video titled "Pro-Impeachment Rally and Anti-Impeachment Rally - National Resistance Movement to Dissolve the National Assembly" on his YouTube channel 'Jeongbeop Sidae,' stating, "It is necessary to dissolve the National Assembly by exercising the people's right to resist."

I wonder how we should view and proceed with this situation," Cheon said, "South Korea is at a very important time. Because it is an important time, it is experiencing severe growing pains, and all the wrong aspects of South Korea are coming to light." He added, "The world is seeing news of our people going through their last growing pains," and claimed that the biggest problem right now is the National Assembly.
He also said, "The things happening in the National Assembly are bringing shame to South Korea. The National Assembly is a place where representatives of South Korea are elected. The people who should be leading South Korea on the right path are making a mess of the National Assembly. Therefore, the 22nd National Assembly must be dissolved."
He further claimed that the actions of the 22nd National Assembly constitute "national disorder." He explained, "National disorder means making life difficult for the people. Those who should live for the people are making life hard for them, so they must be dissolved unconditionally." He emphasized, "This is not about who is right or wrong. Both the right-wing and left-wing are at fault," and urged, "Whether ruling or opposition party, all members of the National Assembly should resign their badges and dissolve."
Regarding the pro- and anti-impeachment protests, he said, "At first, the people started rallies demanding impeachment, but now there are also anti-impeachment protests," adding, "The anti-impeachment wave is gathering the entire nation, while the pro-impeachment side is only gathering their own groups. A large number of people opposing impeachment have gathered. This means that the number of people capable of initiating a 'people's right to resist' is assembling."
"Yoon, Not a Failure but a Process of the People Learning," He Claims
Cheon also claimed that President Yoon would maintain his presidency. In a video from the 18th of last month, he said, "The president is chosen by heaven," and "This is President Yoon Seok-yeol." He predicted, "Although President Yoon is having a very difficult time this time, it is a period of learning," and "If things are settled by next year's Lunar New Year, the path ahead for President Yoon will change in strength."

Cheon is known as a figure who advised President Yoon during his time as Prosecutor General regarding his political participation. Because of this, whenever controversies about shamanism arose after President Yoon entered politics, Cheon's name was invariably mentioned. Some speculated that Cheon might have played the role of a mentor or unofficial power behind the scenes in the current administration, but both the Blue House and Cheon denied these allegations.
