TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 ETF 2 Types Individual Cumulative Net Purchase Surpasses 100 Billion Won
Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 9th that the cumulative net purchases by individuals of the two types of the 'TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 ETF Series' have surpassed 100 billion KRW. The ETF has recently gained attention by newly including Tesla.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the 8th, the cumulative net purchases by individuals since the listing date of the TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 ETF on August 27 last year amount to 59.2 billion KRW. The TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 ETF selects and invests in 10 stocks that balance growth and profitability among AI-related semiconductor, software, and platform companies. The portfolio consists solely of big tech companies leading the global AI industry and generating actual profits through AI.
The covered call version, TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 Target Daily Covered Call ETF, is a monthly dividend ETF that pays dividends on the 15th of each month through a target daily covered call strategy while following the growth of AI big tech. It has gained popularity since its listing on October 15 last year due to its combination of big tech growth potential and high monthly dividends. As of the 8th, the cumulative net purchases by individuals since listing amount to 79.5 billion KRW.
The two types of the TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 ETF Series included Tesla through a regular rebalancing on the 6th. Unlike existing big tech-related indices that select companies based on market capitalization, the underlying index of the ETF, the KEDI US AI Big Tech 10 Index, selects only highly profitable AI big tech stocks based on financial indicators such as sales growth rate and operating profit margin. Tesla was newly included as a representative AI big tech company that recorded outstanding growth and profitability, including a net profit surprise in the third quarter of last year.
Lee Doseon, manager of the ETF management division at Mirae Asset Global Investments, said, "The TIGER US AI Big Tech 10 ETF Series is a portfolio that considers not only market capitalization but also corporate sales growth." He added, "It allows selective investment in currently growing AI big tech companies."
He continued, "Going forward, if new stocks with high growth potential emerge, we plan to actively include them through quarterly rebalancing to focus investment on leading US AI big tech companies."
