S-Oil CEO Attends US CES... "Seeking Strategic Direction for Energy Company"
Anwar Al Hizazi, CEO of S-Oil, announced on the 8th that he visited the site of CES 2025, the world's largest electronics IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA. S-Oil's top management attends the CES event every year to quickly experience the implementation of new future technologies and to explore sustainable strategies as a clean energy supplier.
CEO Anwar Al Hizazi, along with Ryu Yeol, President of Strategic Management, Jung Young-kwang, Head of New Business Division, and Lim Jong-in, Head of IT Division, visited the exhibition booths of pre-arranged domestic and international global companies including Samsung SDS, Samsung Electronics, and Microsoft.
In particular, he showed great interest in the latest technology trends for the company's digital transformation strategy and new business expansion, such as corporate hyper-automation based on the AI agent introduced by Samsung SDS. Samsung SDS plays an important role as a key partner in IT consulting and application development, including carrying out S-Oil's ERP next-generation system upgrade project.
CEO Anwar Al Hizazi said, "By directly checking the latest products and technologies presented by global tech companies on site, I was able to feel the market environment changes combined with AI technology, and it was an opportunity to enhance insights into the direction energy companies like us should take moving forward." He also said, "Amid a series of massive management environment changes such as energy transition, vehicle electrification, and increasing demand for clean energy sources, it helped us review the strategic direction for creating and operating new business models at S-Oil."
S-Oil has established a digital transformation mega project plan utilizing core technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution and is carrying out a project to build a world-class intelligent factory system. In addition, the Shahin Project construction is underway with a target completion year of 2026.
