KT&G Sangsangmadang Hosts Photo Exhibition 'Always Nuribom' Commemorating 80th Anniversary of Liberation Day
Reexamining Changdeokgung... Reflecting on the Meaning of the 80th Anniversary of Liberation
KT&G Sangsangmadang announced on the 7th that it will hold a photo exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, titled 'Always Nuribom,' at the KT&G Daechi Gallery until the 27th of next month.
Nuribom is a pure Korean word meaning "Let us all be people who hope to cultivate the world (Nuri) positively." KT&G Sangsangmadang explained that the photo exhibition was planned to reflect on the significance of the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day through images of Changdeokgung Palace, which preserved the spirit of Nuribom despite being damaged or altered during the Japanese colonial period.

View original imagePhotographer Kim Seongsu is participating in the exhibition. He is a photographer who has gained attention in Korea by being selected as the Photographer of the Year at the 8th KT&G SKOPF and for the 'MH Talent Portfolio' by Museum Hanmi. Visitors can enjoy black-and-white photographs of pavilions and rear gardens within Changdeokgung Palace, such as Injeongjeon and Nakseonjae. Admission is free.
To commemorate the exhibition, KT&G Sangsangmadang will give away New Year's cards made using the artist's works on a first-come, first-served basis. Detailed information about the photo exhibition can be found on the KT&G Sangsangmadang website.
A KT&G Sangsangmadang official stated, "We will continue to present various programs for the sustainable development of the cultural and arts sector."

Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsangmadang is a complex cultural and arts space that supports the creative activities of emerging artists and provides cultural experiences to the public. Starting with Sangsangmadang Hongdae in 2007, it currently operates in five locations including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan.
