40s Man Who Killed Gosiwon Neighbor Surrenders and Is Urgently Arrested
Detailed Investigation of the Crime Motive Planned
A man in his 40s suspected of killing a woman living in the same gosiwon was arrested by the police.
On the 6th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had urgently arrested Mr. A on suspicion of murder. Mr. A is suspected of killing a neighboring guest at a gosiwon in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 10 p.m. on the 4th. He turned himself in to the police at around 4:30 p.m. the next day, the 5th.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crime.

A police official stated, "So far, aside from the victim and the suspect being neighbors in the gosiwon, no other special relationship has been revealed," and added, "We plan to investigate the motive for the crime in more detail."
