Ministry of Education to Support University Tuition for 1 Year for Families of Jeju Air Disaster Victims
On the 5th, the Ministry of Education announced that it will support the university tuition fees of the families of victims affected by the Jeju Air passenger plane accident to reduce their financial burden.
The support targets are direct ascendants and descendants, siblings, and spouses of the accident victims and rescuers who are currently enrolled in domestic universities or are incoming students for the 2025 academic year.
The Ministry of Education will fully cover university tuition fees for one year (within two semesters) starting from the first semester of the 2025 academic year, regardless of income.
Applications for payment can be submitted to the Korea Student Aid Foundation. The Ministry of Education plans to provide separate guidance on the necessary procedures to eligible recipients.
