Icheon-si 'Development Activity Permit Integrated Approval Support System' Pilot Operation
Apply Online... Check Progress and Results Online
Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 2nd that it will pilot the Integrated Permit Support Service (IPSS), which allows applications for development activity permits to be submitted online and results to be checked starting this month.
This system integrates permit-related tasks concerning land use in accordance with the "Special Act on Simplifying Land Use Permit Procedures." It features the digitization of development activity permit civil affairs to simplify the application process.
Previously, applicants had to visit the city hall in person or submit documents by mail to apply for development activity permits. However, with the introduction of this system, the city explained that applications can now be submitted anytime and anywhere via the internet. In particular, users can check the progress of permits in real time, directly confirm results, and even apply for completion inspections all at once.
Those wishing to use the service can access "Government24," search for "Development Activity Permit," or sign up as a member on the "Integrated Permit Service." The city expects that once IPSS usage is established, simple history management will be possible, increasing transparency in civil affairs processing and shortening processing times. From March, when the service stabilizes, the city plans to computerize all processes including development activity modification permits.
