2009 Open Champion Stewart Cink (USA) will compete on the senior tour next year.
On the 26th (local time), in an interview with Golfweek in the United States, he said, "I have decided to play on the senior tour, the PGA Tour Champions, starting next year," adding, "I love the PGA Tour and have played for a long time, but I told my wife that it is time to change my stage of activity."
Cink was born in May 1973. Although he qualified to play on the PGA Tour Champions in May 2023, he had stuck to the PGA Tour stage until now. When he was 49 in 2022, he said, "I don't feel old. I am in better shape than ever. My swing speed is still the same," and "I still have the strength to compete on the PGA Tour. I can go to the senior tour later."
