It has been decided to reduce cadastral survey fees for Anseong, Pyeongtaek, Hwaseong, Yongin, Icheon, and Yeoju, which were declared special disaster areas due to heavy snowfall damage.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that, as a result of recommending a reduction in cadastral survey fees to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to alleviate the economic burden on residents of these six areas and to facilitate rapid damage recovery, the fee reduction has been approved.
The reduction rate applies to cadastral surveys necessary for damage recovery, with a 100% reduction in cadastral survey fees for residential houses and other buildings. For other land types, the reduction is 50%.
Residents affected who wish to apply for a cadastral survey must obtain a ‘Damage Confirmation Certificate’ detailing the damage caused by the heavy snowfall from the relevant city, county, or district office and submit it when applying for the cadastral survey to the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation.
Ko Jung-guk, Director of the Land Information Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Although it varies depending on the size of the land, cadastral survey fees can range from several hundred thousand to several million won," and added, "With the approval of the cadastral survey fee reduction for the affected areas within Gyeonggi Province, we expect to ease the burden on residents of the special disaster areas."
