Since March last year, Asia Economy has been consistently introducing AI startups through its serialized column ‘AI Revolution,’ with over 130 companies participating so far. About half of these companies expressed their intention to participate in this year’s AAA ceremony, and major corporations focusing on AI development, such as Naver and SK Telecom, also joined.

The judging was conducted by a panel of five IT experts from academia, industry, and research sectors, who fairly evaluated each company’s achievements based on creativity, innovation, marketability, impact, and recognition to select the awardees.

As a result, the Minister of Science and ICT Award was given to ‘Naver Cloud,’ the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award to ‘MaeumAI,’ and the Chairperson of the Digital Platform Government Committee Award to ‘SK Telecom’ and ‘NewnAI,’ respectively. The Venture Business Association President’s Award went to ‘Sands Lab,’ ‘MayAI,’ and ‘SelectStar,’ while the AI Ethics Award under the name of the Asia Economy CEO was awarded to ‘Igloo Corporation,’ and the AI Business Model Award was given to ‘More.’

Naver Cloud, the recipient of the Minister of Science and ICT Award, provides cloud-based AI full-stack infrastructure and leads AI innovation among domestic companies. In particular, it was highly praised for its innovative technology, including developing ‘HyperCLOVA,’ the world’s third-largest ultra-large-scale AI, significantly contributing to the advancement of AI in Korea.

MaeumAI, awarded the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award, supports all processes of AI service development from AI infrastructure management to AI engine development and training, and was recognized for successfully replacing manpower in various industrial fields, greatly improving productivity.
