Handonghun "Orderly Early Resignation... Yoon Will Not Intervene in State Affairs Including Diplomacy"
Public Joint Statement to the Nation at the People Power Party Headquarters
"Yoon Cannot Normally Conduct State Affairs"
Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 8th, "I believe that the majority of the people think President Yoon Seok-yeol should step down because he cannot carry out normal state affairs during the remainder of his term," adding, "Even before President Yoon's resignation, he will not be involved in state affairs, including diplomacy."
On the same day, Han made this announcement through a joint public statement with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.

It appears that the party has not yet decided on the procedures to resolve the current situation. However, through the statement, Han left open the possibility of President Yoon's 'early resignation.' Han said, "We will promptly share specific plans after internal party discussions," and added, "President Yoon has promised to entrust the party with the direction of political stability going forward, including his term, in accordance with the people's mandate. Therefore, I believe there will be no confusion during an orderly early resignation process."
