Gyeonggawon Hosts Startup Leaders Summit... Supporting Collaboration in Tech Entrepreneurship
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency held the 'Startup Leaders Summit' at the Ramada Plaza in Suwon on the 29th of last month.
The event was organized to share experiences and know-how through exchanges between senior and junior entrepreneurs participating in the 'Gyeonggi-do Preliminary and Early-Stage Technology Startup Support' project and to explore new collaboration opportunities.
This year, through the technology startup support project, the agency selected 35 companies and provided up to 30 million KRW in commercialization funds per company. It also offered programs to strengthen startup capabilities such as accelerating and networking.

Kang Seong-cheon, head of the agency, emphasized, "Through this event, senior and junior entrepreneurs shared their experiences and know-how, creating new opportunities for collaboration," adding, "We will continue to actively support the revitalization of the startup ecosystem."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do's technology startup support project began in 2009 and has supported 2,247 preliminary and early-stage entrepreneurs over the past 16 years. As a result, it has achieved outcomes such as approximately 1,200 business registrations, 2,046 intellectual property rights, and 2,879 jobs created.
