Chuncheon City Hosts Development Forum to Create a Unique Food Tech Ecosystem in Chuncheon
On the 29th at Kangwon National University... Topic: 'Global Expansion Strategies for Regional Food Tech Industry'
Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Yuk Dong-han) announced on the 28th that the 3rd Chuncheon Food Tech Industry Development Forum will be held at 2 p.m. on the 29th at the AMP Conference Hall in the Global Business Building of Gangwon National University.
Hosted and organized by Chuncheon City and the Nuruk Research Institute of Gangwon National University, this forum will be held under the theme "Strategies for the Global Expansion of Regional Food Tech Industry." It is a venue to discuss strengthening the competitiveness of food tech companies in the Chuncheon area and strategies for entering the international market.
Through the forum, Chuncheon City plans to analyze the latest global trends in the food tech market and share successful cases of overseas expansion. In particular, it will seek concrete action plans for the globalization of the regional food tech industry.
At the forum, Professor Kim Seon-gi of the Department of Food and Biotechnology at Chung-Ang University will first present on "Production of Alternative Protein Materials Using Microorganisms." Following this, Professor Kim Myung-jo of the Department of Biological Resources Science at Gangwon National University will explain "Anti-Aging and Medifood." Finally, Baek Soon-yeop, Vice President of Hooniz Co., Ltd., will conclude the presentations with the topic "The Food Revolution."
Subsequently, the discussion panel will include Chair Professor Kim Myung-dong of the Department of Bioindustrial Engineering at Gangwon National University, Professor Seo Seung-o of Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Professor Kim Myung-jo of Gangwon National University, Vice President Baek Soon-yeop of Hooniz Co., Ltd., Researcher Kim Seok-jung of Gangwon Research Institute, and Policy Planning Director Seong Jo-hwan of Gangwon Technopark.
In particular, in connection with the forum, seven food tech companies based in Chuncheon will hold an exhibition in the lobby on site, showcasing innovative products that combine their core technologies with the latest food tech trends.
