Hyundai Motor Donates Carnival and Ray... "Will Continue Supporting Mobility-Restricted Individuals"
Mobility Delivery Ceremony for Mobility-Impaired... Total Donation of 8.6 Billion KRW
Hyundai Motor Group has stepped up to support mobility to improve the mobility rights of people with limited mobility.
On the 20th, Hyundai Motor Group held the 'Mobility Support Project Delivery Ceremony for People with Limited Mobility' at the Community Chest of Korea Sarangui Yeolmae Hall located in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Key officials attending the event included Han Yong-bin, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Group; Hwang In-sik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea; Hwang Jae-yeon, President of the Korea Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities; Kwon Tae-yeop, President of the Korea Senior Welfare Association; and Kim Dong-beom, Secretary General of the Korea Federation of Organizations of the Disabled.
The Mobility Support Project for People with Limited Mobility is a social contribution activity that Hyundai Motor Group has been conducting since 2011 to enhance the mobility rights of people with limited mobility. Hyundai Motor Group has donated various mobility devices such as welfare vehicles, bicycles for the disabled, electric scooters for the elderly, and muscle assist devices, with the total cumulative donation amount reaching approximately 8.6 billion KRW to date.
This year, Hyundai Motor Group will support 8 units each of Carnival welfare vehicles and Ray welfare vehicles, which are optimally designed for wheelchair users.
Hyundai Motor Group, in cooperation with the Community Chest of Korea, selected beneficiaries through a fair process. The Carnival welfare vehicles will be donated to 8 disability welfare institutions, and the Ray welfare vehicles will be donated to 8 elderly welfare institutions. These vehicles will be used to support the daily lives and care services of people with disabilities and the elderly.
