"Size of 13 Soccer Fields"... Hyundai Glovis Establishes Logistics Facility at Busan Port
Site area 94,938㎡... Target completion in 2027
Providing customized services... Easy response to logistics disruptions
Hyundai Glovis is establishing a large-scale complex logistics facility at Busan New Port to strengthen its supply chain.
On the 13th, Hyundai Glovis announced that it recently signed a land purchase agreement with Busan New Port Ungdong Development for the construction of a complex logistics facility within the second-phase hinterland district of Busan New Port Ungdong area. The secured site covers a total of 94,938㎡, equivalent to about 13 soccer fields. The company plans to build a massive container yard and an integrated logistics center here, aiming for completion in 2027.
This location will be able to store a large number of containers at once. Being close to the terminal, the procedures for bringing in and transporting containers ready for export are expected to become much simpler. Additionally, by securing its own yard, Hyundai Glovis explained that it can respond stably even if variables such as logistics disruptions occur.
Once the integrated logistics center is completed, Hyundai Glovis plans to provide unified services to its clients, from unloading and inspecting goods from containers carrying imported cargo to storage. As a directly operated logistics center, the internal structure and functions can also be designed to suit the convenience of client companies.
