10 Current Students Receive 10 Million KRW
193 Students So Far, Totaling 238.5 Million KRW
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced on the 7th that the Alumni Association of Current Employees (President Professor Kwon Han-yong) held the 2024 academic year scholarship award ceremony and awarded scholarships of 1 million KRW each to 10 enrolled students, totaling 10 million KRW.
The scholarship award ceremony held on the 5th at Kyungdong Hall, Seunghak Campus of Dong-A University was attended by Kwon Han-yong (Professor, Seokdang Talent Department), President of the Alumni Association of Current Employees, Jo Gyu-pan (Professor, Department of Education), Auditor, Jung Hye-sun (General Affairs Department), Director, Heo Nam-in (Office Manager), General Affairs Director, Park Seok-kang (Sports Support Department), Director, Park Cheol-hong (Planning Department Manager), Auditor, Yang Shin-woo (Planning Department), Auditor, and other related personnel and scholarship recipients.
The Dong-A University Alumni Association of Current Employees, consisting of 279 members including 138 alumni faculty and 141 staff working at Dong-A Hak-suk Foundation and Dong-A University, has awarded scholarships totaling 238.5 million KRW to 193 scholarship recipients from 2004 to this year.
The 10 students who received the Alumni Association of Current Employees scholarship this year are Shin Seok-hoon (Department of Education), Choi Yeon-woo (Department of Mathematics), Park Ji-yeon (Department of Public Administration), Noh Eun-soo (Department of Management Information Systems), Kang Min-sung (Department of Applied Biological Engineering), Shin Jeong-bae (Department of Chemical Engineering), Koo Bon-yong (Department of Architecture), Kim Yeon-ji (Department of Music), Bae Yoo-min (Department of Health Management), and Jeon Chae-hyung (Department of Japanese Studies).
President Kwon Han-yong said on the day, “This scholarship is given by your seniors. Regardless of the amount, it is a scholarship given with good intentions, so I hope it will be used for your good purposes.”

Shin Seok-hoon, a scholarship recipient, said, “I am very grateful to the seniors for giving this scholarship. I will use it meaningfully,” adding, “Personally, I think I will use it for the costs of preparing for the teacher certification exam, and since it is a meaningful scholarship for preparing for the exam, I believe there will be good results.”
