Yeoncheon-gun Holds Village Education Community Policy Forum
Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that it will hold the ‘Yeoncheon-gun Village Education Community Policy Forum’ at the Unification Lifelong Education Center on November 1st.
This forum will be a hybrid event conducted both online and offline for the convenience of participants. The offline event will take place at the Unification Lifelong Education Center, while the online event will be streamed live simultaneously on the YouTube channel ‘Yeoncheon-gun Unification Lifelong Education Center’.
The theme of the forum is ‘Linking Lifelong Learning Communities and School Education,’ starting with a keynote speech titled ‘Embracing the Future through Regional Lifelong Education’ by Professor Yoon Yeo-gak, former president of the National Institute for Lifelong Education and professor at Korea National Open University.
The second part will feature four thematic presentations covering education policy, lifelong education, school education, and local case studies. Professor Jeon Je-sang from Kongju National University of Education will speak on ‘The Role of Communities in Realizing the Local Era,’ Professor Yang Byung-chan from Kongju National University will present on ‘Lifelong Learning Communities for Sustainable Living,’ Director Kwon Soon-hyung of the Education Policy Network Center at the Korea Educational Development Institute will discuss ‘Directions and Challenges for Community-Centered School Management,’ and Director Chae Hee-tae of the Duru Communication Research Institute will share ‘Cases of Village Education Community Linkage.’
In the third part, Professor Jeon Je-sang will serve as the chair, with Professors Yang Byung-chan, Director Kwon Soon-hyung, and Director Chae Hee-tae participating as panelists. They will discuss cooperation strategies to revitalize local communities, representing their respective fields.
