Police Arrest and Transfer Doctor and Hospital Staff in 'Goryeo Pharmaceutical Illegal Rebate' Case
Suspected Violations Including Medical Law Breaches
A doctor and a hospital official who received a portion of sales proceeds in exchange for prescribing products from Goryeo Pharmaceutical were handed over to the prosecution in custody.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Mobile Unit announced on the morning of the 30th that they had sent Dr. Jo and local hospital planning director Jeong, who are suspected of violating the Medical Service Act, to prosecution in custody.
They are accused of receiving a certain percentage of sales proceeds from Goryeo Pharmaceutical in exchange for using Goryeo Pharmaceutical products.
