Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 22nd that it will recruit 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis for the "2024 2nd Arthritis Escape Exercise Class" at the Seobu Health Living Support Center of the Public Health Center starting from the 23rd.
This program, aimed at high-risk groups aged 60 and over with joint diseases in the area, will be held twice a week (every Tuesday and Thursday) from November 12, 2024, to January 2, 2025.
The program consists of upper and lower body strength training exercises to prevent arthritis, reduce pain, and prevent falls, and the course is free of charge.

A city official said, "The training, including upper and lower body strength exercises for fall prevention, stabilization exercises for the waist and pelvis, aerobic exercises, and small equipment exercise methods, will help improve the strength and cardiopulmonary function of the elderly."
