LifeSemantics Conducts Overseas Validation of Blood Pressure Analysis Software 'CanopyMD BPAI'
LifeSemantics announced on the 17th that it will conduct overseas clinical validation of the BPAI software (SW) of Doctor Answer 2.0, which it developed independently.
'CanopyMD BPAI' is a medical AI (artificial intelligence) solution developed through the Doctor Answer 2.0 project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). The technology predicts blood pressure 1 to 4 weeks in advance by analyzing clinical data based on patients recording their blood pressure via a mobile app at home for 8 weeks.
The lead institution for this solution, Chonnam National University Hospital, signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) on the 12th for the "Verification and Evaluation of Daily Blood Pressure Analysis Software According to Blood Pressure Management." Using LifeSemantics' software, the contracting parties will conduct usability evaluations and feedback with overseas institutions. The goal is to verify clinical effectiveness and secure various clinical cases.
Participating in this agreement were Professor Kim Juhan, the research director at Chonnam National University Hospital, Teikyo University in Japan, Shizuoka Graduate University of Public Health, and Ruijin Hospital Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in China.
Previously, LifeSemantics received approval for the licensing of CanopyMD BPAI. Subsequently, it completed patent registration for the "AI-based blood pressure prediction system using blood pressure and pulse data." Currently, this solution is undergoing validation trials at Samsung Changwon Hospital, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, and Jeju National University Hospital. The trials are planned to be conducted on a total of 120 patients by the end of the year.
