Incheon Cultural Content Companies Seek Sales and Overseas Expansion Through Support Hubs
Companies supported by the Incheon Content Enterprise Support Center, Incheon Content Korea Lab, and Incheon Metaverse Support Center?key hubs operated by Incheon City and Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) to foster the growth of cultural content companies?are steadily achieving results.
According to Incheon TP on the 14th, Toos Design Studio’s character brand 'Ttarimongttang,' which utilizes Korea’s bojagi culture and dokkaebi, was selected as an excellent cultural product by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and awarded the 'K-Ribbon' mark. The company is focusing on follow-up marketing to enter the global market as a K-character through this recognition.
Additionally, Shop Fanfic has successfully grown the large virtual group 'Re:Revolution,' achieving sales exceeding 2 billion KRW this year alone, and is expected to achieve greater results through additional content production such as pop-up stores and music videos.
IntensLab, which operates 'Jiwonjeon,' a career-specialized content platform based on job influencers for global career changers, and Sanho Ocean Tech, which operates 'Hitup,' a fishing platform utilizing data related to offshore fishing trips, were selected for TIPS, a core startup support program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, securing a foundation for growth through additional investment.
In the global sector, Cocopang signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Spain’s animation studio 'HeyStoryStudio' for collaboration in animation and video production, marking the start of its overseas expansion.
Augmented Intelligence, an XR (Extended Reality) and metaverse company, is conducting demonstrations of 'XR content for civil aircraft maintenance training' in cooperation with Korea Aviation Services and the Aerospace Industry-Academia Convergence Institute. It also won the 'MRO Asia-Pacific Awards 2024' and is exploring global expansion by signing MOUs and NDAs with overseas companies in Malaysia, the United States, and others.
Rising Craft, which is developing rehabilitation treatment content for neurological recovery based on XR technology, has received IRB approval for clinical trials and plans to proceed with clinical trials at Gachon University Gil Medical Center within the year.
