Yeoju-si Conducts On-site Interviews for Selection of Outstanding Foreign Seasonal Workers
MOU Signing and Interviews in Laos and Cambodia
Yeoju City has been conducting local interviews in Laos and Cambodia, countries with which it signed an MOU, from September 21 to 30.
Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it conducted on-site interviews in Laos and Cambodia, countries with which it has signed MOUs, from the 21st to the 30th of last month to efficiently select foreign seasonal workers for 2025.
The goal of these interviews was to pre-evaluate the actual capabilities and adaptability of the workers to select outstanding candidates.
Approximately 300 applicants attended the interviews in Khammouane Province, Laos, and about 200 in Cambodia. The interviews involved Yeoju City’s Agricultural Policy Division chief and staff, as well as central government officials from the respective countries.
During the interview process, various evaluation procedures such as physical fitness tests, color blindness tests, and in-depth interviews were conducted to comprehensively assess the workers’ field adaptability and job performance abilities.
This on-site interview was an important opportunity to secure excellent foreign seasonal workers, thereby ensuring a stable workforce necessary for Yeoju’s agricultural management. Yeoju City expects this to increase the productivity of local agriculture and have a positive impact on farm management.
Additionally, Yeoju City is directly visiting Battambang Province in Cambodia to promote the signing of an MOU to further strengthen the stability of foreign seasonal worker supply. Through this, the city aims to diversify the labor supply network and establish a stable workforce supply system.
