The Most Livable 'Cheonhamyeongdang Sipseungji'... Visit the Geumdangsil Village Festival in Yecheon
The Yecheon Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Kim Hakdong) is hosting the "2024 Cultural Heritage Night Walk: Geumdang Night Walk" under the theme "Geumdangsil, the Ten Seungji of Cheonha Myeongdang Shining Under the Moonlight" from the 3rd to the 5th, between 4 PM and 9 PM, at Geumdangsil Village in Yongmun-myeon, Yecheon-gun.
The 2024 Geumdang Night Walk is Yecheon-gun's representative nighttime program, selected for the Cultural Heritage Night Walk project by the National Heritage Administration. Set in Geumdangsil Village, renowned nationwide as one of the Ten Seungji of Myeongdang, the event showcases the value and beauty of Yecheon’s cultural heritage through unique nighttime content.
This event features the "8 Nights" (Scenery, Old Age, Story, History, Painting, Poetry, Food, Stay), performances, a stamp tour, hands-on programs, photo zones, and a night market, all designed to be easily enjoyed by families and visitors of all ages.
The tranquil nighttime scenery and beautiful performances held in the pine forest, fitting the theme "Geumdangsil Village, the Ten Seungji of Cheonha Myeongdang Under the Moonlight," allow visitors to fully savor the autumn night. Various programs such as traditional wedding experiences and stargazing, arranged throughout the village, promise unique experiences for attendees.
In particular, this year's event is even more meaningful as village organizations and residents, centered around Geumdangsil Informatization Village, are actively participating in its preparation.
Chairman Kim Hakdong said, "I hope everyone enjoys a special and beautiful autumn night with family, friends, and loved ones through the Geumdang Night Walk, and that this event will serve as an opportunity to widely promote the value of Geumdangsil Village's cultural heritage."
