MZ Solution's Subsidiary Obtains 2 Patents Including Electric Vehicle Fire Suppression System Using Trailers
MGN Solution announced on the 2nd that its subsidiary, Hyundai Infracore (CEO Kang Yong-joo), has obtained patents for the 'Automatic Fire Origin Tracking Fire Suppression System' and the 'Electric Vehicle Fire Suppression System Using a Trailer.'
The Automatic Fire Origin Tracking Fire Suppression System is an AI-based automatic fire suppression system that integrates infrared detection, signal processing, control algorithms, and data transmission technology into a state-of-the-art AI fire extinguishing solution.
When a fire occurs within the detection range, the system automatically identifies the fire origin accurately within 30 seconds, sends a fire alarm signal, and simultaneously discharges extinguishing agent rapidly. At the same time, it sends emergency alerts to the manager and the fire station, enabling the fire to be suppressed as quickly and safely as possible.
This patent is a solution that quickly locates the coordinates of a fire through various sensors, thermal imaging cameras, UV cameras, and IR cameras, and extinguishes it to prevent major accidents. It is equipped with IP cameras, vertical and horizontal infrared sensors, thermal imaging cameras, and ultraviolet sensors, detecting fires occurring within a 50m radius through 360-degree horizontal rotation. Another major advantage is that it can accurately detect fires occurring inside invisible objects or beyond walls without any blind spots through the thermal imaging camera.
The Electric Vehicle Fire Suppression System Using a Trailer moves the electric vehicle on fire into the trailer interior, creating an oxygen-deprived environment to quickly suppress the fire. It uses liquefied carbon dioxide installed inside the trailer body for cooling and extinguishing.
This patented technology can control not only the thermal runaway phenomenon of the battery during an electric vehicle fire but also the release of toxic substances such as hydrogen sulfide and hydrogen fluoride contained in the battery into the air, thereby preventing environmental pollution caused by hazardous materials.

An MGN Solution representative said, "The existing sprinkler-type extinguishing agent spray had the disadvantage of causing secondary damage by spraying extinguishing agent over a wide area, not just the fire origin. Our fire suppression system minimizes secondary damage caused by extinguishing agent spraying and focuses on the fire origin using an AI system within the shortest time, leading to increased inquiries for replacing existing systems."
