Namseoul University Hosts 'Ji·San·Hak·Yeon Networking Seminar'
Emphasis on Expanding Local Industrial Workforce Development
Namseoul University discussed plans to establish a cooperative ecosystem among local industries, universities, and research institutions to strengthen the competitiveness of regional industries.
On the 26th, Namseoul University held the '2024 Regional-Industry-University-Research Networking Seminar' at the Chungnam Technopark seminar room. The seminar was co-hosted by Namseoul University and Chungnam Technopark.
The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including Yoon Seung-yong, President of Namseoul University; Cho Won-gil, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation; Lee Ju-yeol, Director of the University Innovation Support Project Group; Seo Gyu-seok, Director of Chungnam Technopark; Kim Do-hoon, member of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Council; as well as officials from public institutions in the Chungnam region and representatives from nearby industries.
The seminar began with morning keynote presentations. Im Eung-soon, Director of the Industrial Workforce Development Center at Chungnam Technopark, gave a presentation titled ‘Development of Regional Industrial Workforce in Response to Changes in Government Policy,’ emphasizing the need to expand workforce development in regional industries amid rapidly changing industrial environments.
Following this, Professor Kim Chang-ho of Namseoul University discussed ‘The Role of Regional Industry Managers Utilizing AI,’ focusing on leadership in the era of digital transformation.
In his opening remarks, President Yoon stated, "Cooperation among regional industries, universities, and research institutions is a crucial axis where universities, industries, and research bodies are organically connected to create innovation," and emphasized, "Namseoul University will play a pivotal role in talent cultivation and innovative technology development throughout this process."

This seminar provided a platform to exchange diverse opinions for the development of regional industries and talent cultivation, showing a positive outlook for strengthened cooperation between Namseoul University and Chungnam Technopark. Namseoul University expressed its commitment to continue close collaboration with regional industries to produce tangible results and contribute to the economic and technological advancement of the Chungnam region.
