The city's move to strengthen its network with foreign-invested companies appears to be based on the judgment that expanding investment from not only domestic companies but also foreign-invested companies is necessary for urban growth. According to the city, as of the end of June, there are 425 foreign-invested companies operating in Hwaseong City.
The meeting was attended by Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun, KOTRA Senior Specialist Kim Ju-hyung, and representatives from ASM Korea, ASML Korea, Tokyo Electron Korea, Autoliv, and others. The meeting covered ▲latest domestic and international investment trends ▲intentions for additional investment ▲guidance on support systems for foreign-invested companies ▲listening to difficulties faced by foreign-invested companies.
