Sancheong Herbal Medicine Festival to Operate Direct Sales Market
A total of 69 items, including 28 medicinal herbs and 41 agricultural specialties
Sancheong County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 24th that it will operate a "Direct Market for Medicinal Herbs and Local Agricultural Products" at the 24th Sancheong Herbal Medicine and Medicinal Herb Festival.
The sales market, which will be open during the festival held at Donguibogam Village in Geumseo-myeon from the 27th to October 6th, has been prepared to promote high-quality medicinal herbs and agricultural specialties that are native to or produced in Sancheong County to visitors attending the festival.
In particular, a total of 69 booths will be operated, including 28 booths for medicinal herb sales and 41 booths for agricultural specialty product sales, so that visitors can make purchases at reasonable prices.
Main products for sale include a variety of medicinal herbs and local specialties such as pine mushrooms, neungi mushrooms, balloon flower roots, mushrooms, honey, and sweet potatoes, which are either native to or produced in the region.
The market will be operated as a direct transaction, and it is expected to satisfy both consumers and producers.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa said, "We will actively promote the excellence of Sancheong's medicinal herbs and agricultural specialties nationwide by operating a substantial and consumer-satisfying sales market," and added, "We will continue to implement various policies to improve farm household income in the future."
