Kim Ajin, Seocheon County Council Member, Announces Candidacy for Democratic Party Chungnam Provincial Women's Committee Chair
"I Will Leverage the Strengths of Incumbent Lawmakers to Create a Party Member-Centered Women's Committee"
Kim Ajin, a member of the Seocheon County Council in Chungnam, announced on the 23rd, "Although Seocheon is the number one super-aged region facing population extinction, I am running for the position of Women’s Committee Chairperson of the Chungnam Provincial Chapter of the Democratic Party to promote balanced regional development and coexistence."
She added, "By leveraging my experience as the current Vice Chair of the County Council, I will establish a Women’s Committee at the Chungnam Provincial Chapter that is centered around party members."
Kim Ajin presented her main pledges as follows: △Facilitating communication with regional committees through a traveling Women’s Committee in each area △Cooperation with other committees such as youth and multicultural committees △Policy development through gatherings of female council members △A united party members’ event hosted by the Women’s Committee △Expanding participation of female party members through events such as the Manju Women’s Speech Contest △Securing female candidates for local elections.
Kim Ajin has previously served as spokesperson for the Chungnam Provincial Chapter of the Democratic Party, Vice Chair of the Central Party Policy Committee, and Policy Advisory Committee member of the Chamjoeun Local Government Committee. She is currently the first to serve consecutive terms as Vice Chair of the Seocheon County Council.
Meanwhile, the election for the Women’s Committee Chairperson of the Chungnam Provincial Chapter of the Democratic Party will be held with candidate number drawing and election briefing on the 20th, followed by voting by female rights-holding party members of the Chungnam Provincial Chapter on the 26th and 27th.
