Guro-gu, Smart Farm Strawberry Seedling Planting Experience
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held a strawberry seedling planting experience event at the Guro Smart Farm Center on the 20th.
The strawberry seedling planting experience was attended by Moon Heon-il, the mayor of Guro-gu, along with 13 children from Hangdong Nara-ra Kindergarten, who toured the main facilities of the smart farm and planted strawberry seedlings in the smart greenhouse.
The strawberry seedlings planted that day will undergo pollination and flowering to bear strawberry fruits. The strawberries produced at the smart farm are expected to be harvested in January next year.
Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu said, “I hope this will be an opportunity for children to experience urban agriculture at the smart farm and think about their future career paths.”

Additionally, the Guro Smart Farm Center consists of cultivation facilities such as a vertical farm, a smart greenhouse, and an experience center. The leafy vegetables and fruit and vegetable crops harvested at the experience center are used for various experience programs and to help those in need.
