Oh Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, participated in the 'Deepfake Crime Prevention Relay Challenge.'
Earlier, Jung Han-gyu, the chief of Dobong Police Station, nominated Oh Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, as the next participant in the challenge on September 11.
The challenge is conducted by posting photos on social networking services (SNS) holding panels with slogans related to deepfake prevention.
On the 12th, Mayor Oh Eon-seok held a panel with the phrase "False videos using deepfake are clear crimes" in the mayor's office at Dobong-gu Office, urging social interest in deepfake prevention.
Mayor Oh Eon-seok said, "I hope this challenge participation leads to a joint effort to prevent deepfake damage."
