LIG Nex1 Selected as Preferred Negotiation Partner for Reconnaissance Unmanned Surface Vessel
Development of Two 12m-Class Unmanned Surface Vessels by 2027
LIG Nex1 has been selected as the final preferred negotiation candidate for the reconnaissance unmanned surface vessel system development project.
On the 11th, a LIG Nex1 official stated, "We were selected as the preferred negotiation candidate by achieving high scores across all evaluation criteria," and added, "Through this project, we will emerge as a leading unmanned system company pioneering advanced technology development in the fields of unmanned and future warfare."
This project marks the first step in the Navy Sea Ghost, a maritime manned-unmanned combined combat system promoted by the Republic of Korea Navy as a future core force.
The reconnaissance unmanned surface vessel system development project involves the research and development of two 12-meter-class unmanned surface vessels by 2027 under the leadership of a company, aimed at enhancing surveillance and reconnaissance of naval forward bases and major ports, as well as rapid on-site response capabilities.
