Global semiconductor equipment billings in the second quarter increased by 4% compared to the same period last year, following semiconductor equipment shipments. The share of China's semiconductor equipment billings was close to half of the global billings.

According to SEMI (formerly the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) on the 10th, global semiconductor equipment billings in the second quarter amounted to $26.8 billion (approximately 36 trillion KRW), up 4% from the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter, it increased by 1%.
By country, South Korea's billings were $4.5 billion (approximately 6 trillion KRW), down 20% from the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter, it decreased by 13%.
On the other hand, China's billings were $12.2 billion (approximately 16.4 trillion KRW), up 62% from the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter, it decreased by 2%. China's second-quarter equipment billings accounted for about 45.6% of the global billings.

Ajit Manocha, CEO of SEMI, said, "Global semiconductor equipment billings in the first half reached $53.2 billion (approximately 71.55 trillion KRW), showing solid performance," adding, "With increased demand for advanced technologies and strategic investments by various countries to build semiconductor manufacturing ecosystems, the semiconductor equipment market is returning to a growth trend."
