Seoul Cheong, Joint Response to Child and Adolescent Deepfake... "Hotline System Established"
Seoul City, Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and Others Participate
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 10th that it held a business agreement ceremony with related organizations for joint response to child and adolescent deepfake cases.
Through this agreement, a four-party hotline system for urgent deepfake response will be established. Immediate deletion and victim support will be provided through linkage with the Seoul Digital Crime Safety Support Center, and joint development of deepfake educational materials, prevention education, and campaigns will be operated.
When deepfake damage occurs, it is immediately connected to Seoul City through a network between schools and the Office of Education. The Office of Education links the victimized student to one-stop integrated support, and professional counselors from the city center visit the school or a third location to assess the victim’s situation and provide support. The Seoul Police Agency collects crime information quickly through School Police Officers (SPO) and assists in connecting victims to Seoul City.

Kim Bong-sik, Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, said, “We are responding with full force, believing that now is the last golden time to stop the spread of deepfake sexual crimes,” and added, “It is meaningful that through cooperation with related organizations, we have established a system where prevention, investigation, victim protection, and support are carried out more multidimensionally and comprehensively.”
