Jennie, Solo Comeback in October... Partnership with US Columbia Records Established
Group BLACKPINK's Jennie will make a solo comeback in October.
On the 9th, her agency OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER) announced that Jennie has signed a partnership with the major American record label Columbia Records and will make a solo comeback with a single this October.
Columbia Records is a major American record label under Sony Music Entertainment. It is home to global pop stars such as Beyonc?, Adele, and Harry Styles. Columbia Records plans to provide comprehensive support for Jennie's solo activities.
Jennie's solo song will be released about a year after her special single "You & Me," which came out last October, drawing great attention from global fans who have been eagerly waiting for her solo comeback for a long time.
Jennie surpassed 1 billion cumulative streams on Spotify with last year's collaboration track "One Of The Girls" featuring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, and remained on Billboard's main song chart, the "Hot 100," for 20 consecutive weeks. With this song, Jennie became the first Korean female solo artist to receive platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
