Anseong-si Selected as 'Excellent Institution' in Provincial Natural Disaster Comprehensive Evaluation Report
Winter Season Comprehensive Evaluation Results... Secured 150 Million Won Financial Incentive
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the 2023-2024 Winter Natural Disaster Comprehensive Evaluation conducted by the province, securing a financial incentive of 150 million won.
The winter natural disaster evaluation assesses the response capabilities of local governments in preparation for heavy snow, cold waves, and other events. In this evaluation, the city explained that it received high marks for proactive emergency response centered on the regional countermeasure headquarters, strengthened disaster response collaboration, snow removal operations by region and road, and resource management such as snow removal equipment.
Previously, Anseong City also ranked first nationwide in the '2023 Summer Natural Disaster Comprehensive Evaluation.' The city plans to focus all its capabilities to be selected as an excellent institution again in the 2024-2025 Winter Comprehensive Evaluation and prepare even more thorough countermeasures.
