Jeonnam Representative Wins Awards Across the Board at National Student Science Invention Competition
4 Special Prize Winners, 5 Excellence Awardees, and 9 Encouragement Awardees
Jeonnam Creative Convergence Education Center announced on the 4th that students representing Jeonnam achieved excellent results at the '45th National Student Science Invention Competition' held at the National Science Museum last August.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National Science Museum, Jeonnam students received awards for all participants: 4 Special Awards, 5 Excellence Awards, and 9 Encouragement Awards.
Elementary, middle, and high school students from Jeonnam participated in the "45th National Student Science Invention Competition" held at the National Science Museum and all won awards.

This year, 299 participants selected through preliminary rounds in 17 cities and provinces nationwide competed in the national competition. With increased interest in inventions after winning the Presidential Award last year, 18 students represented Jeonnam.
The Special Awards were won by Kang Myung-seo from Shindae Elementary School, Lee Tae-yoon from Neopdo Elementary School, Nam Hye-rin from Jeonnam Science High School, and Kim Min-jun from Jeonnam Science High School. Additionally, practical items that help daily life and creative idea projects received Excellence and Encouragement Awards.

Director Jang Ki-myung stated, “Through the Student Science Invention Competition, we encourage invention activities to improve students’ scientific problem-solving skills. Next year, we plan to pay attention from the invention idea stage and communicate and collaborate with schools to achieve even better results.”
