The Bank of Korea announced on the 4th that Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, is scheduled to depart on the 5th to attend the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Governors' Meeting held in Basel, Switzerland.

View original imageGovernor Lee plans to attend the Global Economy Meeting, the General Governors' Meeting, and the Asia Regional Committee during this conference to discuss the recent global economic and financial market conditions with governors of member central banks.
Additionally, as the Chair of the Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS), he will preside over discussions among key central bank officials on global financial issues. He will also attend the BIS Board of Directors and the Economic Consultative Committee as a BIS director.
